Basti

Basti - Curative Panchakarma Procedure for Detoxification
Basti is one of the most effective and the most peculiar treatments in Ayurveda. Medicated oils, decoctions, or herbal concoction is inserted in the rectum to specifically target Vata dosha. It is a treatment which finds its primary place in the entire detoxification process of Ayurveda and is regarded indispensable for the therapeutic purpose, in particular with the doshic balance in Vata dosha.
The role of Basti in the detoxification process of Dosha and Mala
Basti is a major Shodhana procedure in Ayurveda. It specifically impacts Vata, which deals with the functions of movement and communication in the human body. The derangement of Vata dosha can cause constipation, low back pain, arthritis, and mental tension. Basti removes both excess Vata doshas and their related malas, which gives a relief to the life force.
